Cherry Limeade Slush

Ingredients:
2 cups (about 280 g) frozen cherries
½ cup (120 ml) fresh lime juice
1 cup (240 ml) cold water
¼–⅓ cup (50–65 g) granulated sugar, to taste
2–3 tablespoons simple syrup (optional)
3–4 cups ice cubes
1 cup (240 ml) lemon-lime soda or sparkling water, chilled
2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice (optional)
Pinch of salt
Lime wedges, for garnish
Whole cherries, for garnish
Instructions:
Juice limes to get ½ cup of fresh lime juice; prep and freeze cherries if needed.
Blend cherries, lime juice, water, sugar, cherry juice, and salt until smooth.
Add ice and blend until thick and slushy, adding more ice if needed.
Pour in chilled soda or sparkling water and blend briefly to combine.
If too soft, chill in the freezer for 10–15 minutes, then re-blend quickly.
Pour into chilled glasses, garnish with lime wedges and cherries, and serve immediately.
